Thralls Family Cellars is a producer in thrall of nature crafting wines of elegance, restraint and balance that represent the place from where they were grown with minimal intervention in the winery. Each vineyard sourced defines its own destiny with each vintage and I simply strive to make the best wines possible following old world philosophies. Grapes are hand sorted, gently processed and fermented via ambient yeasts in small lot micro bins. Wines are unfined and unfiltered prior to bottling.

Thralls Family Cellars is the culmination of my passion for all aspects of wine, winemaking and the pace of the wine country lifestyle. Leaving an established technology career, I packed up from Atlanta and headed west to follow my passion and began an internship at Holdredge Wines in 2010. My journey includes studying Viticulture & Enology at UC-Davis, authoring a popular wine blog (WineTonite!), becoming a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and ultimately advancing from years of garagiste winemaking to a full-scale winery as well as various roles in production, sales and marketing in the wine industry.
